Bucknor achievements recognized
PICATINNY ARSENAL, N.J. -- On Nov. 3, family, friends and coworkers gathered in the Armament Software Engineering Center, Bldg 31, Conference Room 46, to dedicate the room in memory of Michael H. Bucknor. At left is Micala Bucknor, Michael’s daughter, and on the right is Lorraine Bucknor, his wife.
Michael Bucknor dedicated his knowledge and professionalism to the advancement of Artillery Fire Control Technologies in support of the warfighter. His support spanned Self Propelled Howitzer and Towed Artillery Programs as well as Combat Ammunition Systems.
Among his many distinguished roles, Bucknor served as Senior Advisor for the Design, Development and Coordination of Common Artillery Fire Control systems.
He was also a Senior Member of the Artillery Ballistic Review Board for Requirements and Improvements for the Fire Support Community, and Artillery Fire Control Branch Chief for Software Programs responsible for Paladin Integrated Management Artillery Fire Control System Design, Development, Integration and Qualification, and for M109A6 Current Fleet Maintenance and Sustainment.
