PEO Ammunition participates in scout fishing day
A Scout gets a hands-on experience with the M119A3 Lightweight Howitzer during an opening day fishing event April 8, at Mount Hope Pond in Rockaway, New Jersey. The M119A3 howitzer, managed by the Project Manager Towed Artillery Systems (PM TAS) at Picatinny, is a lightweight, direct and indirect fire support asset used by the U.S. Army and National Guard's infantry brigade combat teams. The fishing event was hosted by Boy Scout Troop 165 and Cub Scout Pack 165, both of Rockaway, and was open to the public. PM TAS provided the M119A3 Lightweight Howitzer for the event and the Project Manager Combat Ammunition Systems (PM CAS) provided an inert munitions display. Several Picatinny military and civilians participated in the event and discussed their role in the military.
