Math and Science 2007 day
program
Picatinny
is once again sponsoring the summer Math and Science day program here. The July
30 through Aug. 3 session is offered to students going into the fourth and fifth
grades in September. The Aug. 6 through Aug. 10 session is offered to students
going into the sixth, seventh and eighth grades in September. The program will
be held in the Homeland Defense Area, building 3518 conference room. Cost is
$95.00 per student; and registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis. For

blood-testing program
The Civilian Welfare Fund Council’s annual
blood-testing program is scheduled for 7:30 to 11 a.m. May 22, 23 and 24 in the
Lindner Conference Center, building 1. The event offers a blood-chemistry
analysis ($20) with cholesterol, triglycerides and glucose readings. There are
also tests for Lyme disease, $17; prostate-specific antigen, $15; ferritin
(diagnostic test for anemia and iron deficiency), $11; and thyroid, $10.
Participants must fast 12 hours prior to the blood-chemistry test.
The program is available to civilian employees; contractors supported by
Picatinny; immediate family members; active-duty, retired and reserve military
members and their family members; and accompanying guests.
No appointments are necessary; however, there will be a $2 Choices discount
voucher for the first 50 participants who arrive between 9:30 and 11 a.m.
Participants should bring cash or a check payable to the Civilian Welfare
Council and a self-addressed, stamped legal-size envelope.

Teams Tournament 2007
The
Teams Tournament 2007 award ceremony is scheduled for 9 a.m. May 17 in the
building 1 Lindner Conference Center. The Picatinny community is invited to
support the winners of the competition and to participate in the door-prize
event. Entertainment will be provided by the Dover High School Band. The award
ceremony is free. Free light refreshments will be provided after the event. For

Fair targets service-disabled vets
Veterans and
service-disabled veterans who are small-business owners are the targets of a
government procurement fair in Mountain Lakes May 17.
The event, which is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Zeris Inn, is
designed to provide veterans and service-disabled veterans an opportunity to
discover the procurement opportunities available within the private sector as
well as government agencies.
Admission is $25 for veteran and service-disabled veteran small-business owners.
In addition, exhibitor tables cost $100 each. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m.
