Charles H. Koehler
Lieutenant Colonel Charles "Herb" Koehler is a 1992 Distinguished Military Graduate from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio where he received a Regular Army commission in the Transportation Corps.
His assignment highlights include Platoon Leader, Company Commander, Battalion Operations Officer, Division Transportation Officer, Battalion Executive Officer, and most recently the Executive Assistant to the Director of the Defense Logistics Agency. He currently serves as the Commander, US Army Garrison, Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey. Lieutenant Colonel Koehler has three operational deployments in Operations Enduring and Iraqi Freedom. One with the Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force (West) during the invasion into Iraq, and two with the 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry) in both Afghanistan and Iraq.
Lieutenant Colonel Koehler earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Ohio University and a Master of Military Arts and Sciences with a concentration in Military History from the US Army Command and General Staff College. His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Unit Citation, the Basic Parachutist Badge, and the Honorary Order of Saint Christopher.
