Mr. John D. Costea
Mr. Costea began his career as a Supply Management Intern at Red River Army Depot in 1977. He has been assigned to Picatinny Arsenal since November 1978,
where he initially worked in developing and implementing logistical processes suitable for a Research and Development organization.
In 1980 he became a management analyst in the Plans Programs and Operation Division of the Installation Support Activity.
In 1983 he was promoted to Chief of that office. In 1984 Mr Costea became the Director of Logistics, responsible for Equipment Management,
Supply Management and Transportation. In 1988 he was promoted to the position of Deputy Director for the Installation Support Activity.
That title was eventually changed to Deputy to the Garrison Commander.
Mr. Costea has been a key member of the Army Armament Research and Development Staff.. He represented the Installation Support Activity
on the Total Quality Management Executive Board for several years during which time Picatinny twice received the Army Community of Excellence Award.
He was instrumental in forming a Garrison at Picatinny Arsenal and was responsible for transiting the Picatinny Garrison into IMCOM.
Mr. Costea is a graduate of Lafayette College (BA Economics in 1975) and received an MBA from Fairleigh Dickenson University in 1982.
