Survivor Outreach Services (SOS) demonstrates the Army's commitment to Families of the Fallen. Many times after you have lost a loved one, there are unresolved issues or questions that may surface months or years after the loss. The Army is dedicated to fulfilling the Army Family Covenant by providing support to Surviving Families for as long as they desire. SOS will connect you with people and resources that can help you find strength and move forward.

Army Long Term Family Case Management - Provides assistance regarding survivor benefits.

Bereaved Parents of the USA - a self help group that assists bereaved parents, grandparents or siblings.
Comfort Zone Camp - Bereavement camps and online resources for children and adolescents; sponsors the hellogrief website/facebook/twitter.
Compassionate Friends - Support for grieving parents.
Gold Star Mothers - An organization of mothers who've lost a son or daughter in service of our country.
Gold Star Wives of America - An organization of military widows/widowers whose spouse died while on active-duty or from service-connected disabilities.
Grief Speaks - Covers a variety of topics related to grief and death.
Society of Military Widows - Serves the interests of women whose husbands died while on active-duty, of a service-connected illness, or disability or regular retirement from the armed forces.
Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) - A wealth of support and information for those who've lost a loved one that was serving our country.
