On this website you will find local
community events that our local
VFWs, American Legions and Marine Corp Leagues host.
Our purpose is to provide this information to local Military so they always know
what's going on!

resourceful and resilient in the absence of parents or other loved ones . . .

our gratitude is the least we can offer.
You are cordially invited to participate in the following events in your honor
This group provides a unique opportunity
to interact with other local Military Families who have common
concerns and share similar experiences. Attendees will have the opportunity to
write notes to the soldiers
and families who were affected by the tragic events that transpired at Fort Hood
last week. Military
members and their families are also invited to share photos, mementos, letters
and stories with each other.
Resources available to military families are made available.
November 14 – Military Families Appreciation Day 2:00-4:00pm
“Military Families Appreciation Month,”
celebrated in November, recognizes military families for their
outstanding service, selflessness and commitment to our active-duty forces.
In recognition of military families
throughout Sussex County, the Sussex County Chapter of the
American Red Cross is hosting an Ice Cream Social with the support of American
Legion Post #86 in
Newton. Veterans and active duty military families are invited to attend the
event.

There will be information regarding the
American Legion, Red Cross services offered to military
families, crafts for younger attendees, an opportunity to write messages to
soldiers and family
members stationed at Fort Hood in Texas, a chance to win dinner for two at a
local restaurant and
more!

As an expression of appreciation for our
military heroes, DM Productions is inviting active duty and retired members of
all branches of the military and National Guard to attend a wonderful holiday
concert entitled, ‘Tis the Season…An Evening of Musical Elegance, free of
charge.
DM Productions and Sponsors will provide tickets
for the military free of charge. Please come enjoy this festive event as a thank
you tribute for your dedicated service and sacrifice to protect our lives and
liberties.
There’s a saying that charity begins at home.
The Military Appreciation Performance will be a spectacular kickoff to
the holiday season and we are excited to offer you the opportunity to join us.
