Integral to the Combat Engineer’s Route Clearance Mission, the HMDS provides the Warfighter with enhanced capabilities to detect improved explosive devices and antitank mines along roads with increased operations tempo. The new Ground Penetrating Radar detects metallic and non-metallic explosive hazards, pressure plates, and antitank mines.
