In an electronic message sent to the workforce March 27, Garrison Commander Lt. Col. Roger Behringer indicated that security badges must be worn while on official duty.
Beginning June 1 everyone, including contractors, military and tenants, will be required to wear security badges unless it poses a safety hazard. Then the badge must be kept on the person.
Every employee who does not currently have a security badge, must complete a SMCAR Form 3058 (Applications for Identification). Forms are available from your Unit Security Officer. The USO forwards the completed forms to the Security Division Badge and ID Office. Your USO will let you know when to report to Bldg. 173 to have your photos taken.
Contractor employees will be issued a light red colored badge and foreign national employees will have a blue colored badge. Contractors and foreign national employees already possessing a security badge do not need to complete a SMCAR Form 3058. You must report to the Badge and ID office, Bldg. 173, to be issued a new badge and surrender your current badge.
For more information, contact your USO.
