WINNERS . . . Kicking off the day's celebration was the Firepower 5K Walk/Run. Posing above are the winners of the Men's and Women's Division. (l.-4.) Third place Bruce Langenkamp (18:06), second place Tom Fitzgerald (17:58), first place Chad McKinley (15:56), Garrison Commander Lt. Col. George Crone, first place Elizabeth Flad (25:08), second place Celeste Goodhart (25:36) and third place Grisel Gonzalez (27:00).

DON'T WORRY, BE HAPPY . . . The Jon J. Chorale singers, a subsidiary of the Jamaica Organization, belt out songs from their native country, Jamaica! ROCKIN' . . . The Newark Youth Steel Pan Ensemble, a 13-piece ensemble from African-Americcan, Caribbean and African parents who all reside in the Newark area, plays the steel drums, sings and dances throughout the day as attendees mingle, eat and enjoy other entertainment and visit with their friends. Left: The Asian Performing Arts Center dancers perform their fourth dance called the Four Seasons using Silk Ribbons which represent speit and joy.D anced to traditional Chinese folk music, it describes the simple, yet joyful life of the people of the rural areas.

Right: The Klezmer Plus Band entertained the audience with Jewish folk music that originates from Eastern Europe.

Attendees enjoyed sports ,too, taking time out for DBO's volleyball competition. Other organizations sponsored games too, for everyone's enjoyment, such as QED's basketball, Acquisition Center's badminton, the Garrison's horseshoes, WECAC's birthday lotto (see below), FSAC's mini-mortar shoot (see below), DCMC's goofy golf and CCAC's balloon toss.
