Atlantic City, Dec. 2: ITR is sponsoring a trip to Bally’s Casino in Atlantic City. Enjoy a day of relaxation and fun by trying your hand at the machines or the tables, maybe hitting a jackpot or choosing a fine lunch or a quick snack. Cost is $25 per person. The casino has not yet determined the coin return. The bus will depart Picatinny Visitor Control Center at 8 a.m. and return to Picatinny about 8 p.m.

Holiday lights in New York City, Dec. 19: Take the afternoon off and depart from Picatinny at 2 p.m. for a trip into New York to enjoy the holiday excitement. First up is Little Italy with two hours of free time to shop and eat (dinner is on your own). Then, return to the bus for a drive uptown to Rockefeller Center for another two hours of sight seeing. Bus returns to Picatinny about 10:15 p.m. The cost of the trip is $20 per person.

2007 Entertainment Books: The northern New Jersey editions are now available for sale. The Take Off Center carries the Morris/Sussex edition, the Essex/Union/Hudson edition and the Bergen/Passaic edition. Each book costs $25. The books contain hundreds of coupons to save money on dining and entertainment and shopping. Often, using only two coupons in the book will pay for the cost. The books also make great holiday presents for family and friends. A few coupons offered in the Morris/Sussex books are for Laughing Lion in Dover, Banzai Steakhouse in Denville, the Tipperary Pub in Parsippany and a coupon for donuts at Donut Towne in Wharton. There are also coupons for a free jumbo bucket of balls at the Clubhouse Golf Center in Randolph and four $5 off coupons for use at Shop Rite grocery stores.

Holiday shopping: The Take Off Center has a variety of items available for the holidays, including a Picatinny pictorial history book, $19; military-logo hats, $15; military-logo plush bears, $10. Cannon Gate logo items are also available: ceramic mugs, $12; embroidered hats, $15; hooded sweatshirts, $27; poplin jackets, $34; full-zippered fleece jacket, $35; golf shirts, $26 to $30; and long-sleeved dress shirt, $28.

Mountain Creek snow fun: The Take Off Center is offering passes for skiing or snowboarding lift tickets at Mountain Creek, which is located in nearby Vernon. Use the passes for yourself or as holiday gifts. The center has ordered the following options. Call to have passes or cards reserved upon their arrival. Triple-play cards: Three visits for $65. Take Off Center sale ends Dec. 22. Season pass: youth (ages 7-18) and senior (65 and older), $209; Adult, $259. Take Off Center sale ends Nov. 20. Daily pass: Weekday lift ticket, $26; weekend lift ticket, $36. The Take Off Center prepaid for these tickets, so quantities are limited.

Statue of Liberty ferry tickets: The Take Off Center is now stocking tickets for the Circle Line Statue of Liberty Ferry. Tickets cost $7.50 per adult and $4.50 per child 4-12 years old. Cost at gate is $11.50 per adult; children’s tickets cost the same. Tickets may be used any day at the Battery Park or Liberty State Park ferry terminal.

Medieval Times: Discount tickets are available for this unique dining and entertainment spectacular that’s located in Lyndhurst. The themed show consists of a three-course meal served by costumed characters of medieval times and entertainment is presented by the Medieval Times mounted knights, who perform in a medieval tournament.  Cheer for your favorite knight as you sit back in your seat and watch the knights joust and sword fight on horseback in the arena before you. Adult tickets are $41 each, and child’s tickets (for children 12 and under) are $35 each. Tickets are good for any performance.

Picatinny guest housing: Picatinny offers affordable guest housing to all members of the Picatinny community – military, civilian and contractor. Choose between the Picatinny Guest House on Farley Avenue, which has four units, and 14 permanent mobile homes located near Lake Denmark. For more information, call 973-724-4014 or 4186.
