To support readiness, Army team demonstrates ability to make essential parts with 3-D printing
The ability to fabricate essential parts in the field was demonstrated with an expeditionary system called the Rapid Fabrication via Additive Manufacturing on the Battlefield or R-FAB. This flexibility with 3-D printing can help prevent critical weapons systems from being “deadlined” because essentials parts are needed. A team from Picatinny Arsenal led the overall R-FAB demonstration during two recent military exercises in the Pacific.
